There is one Bottle of this Wine in the Smithsonian National Museum and now you can put one in your Cellar! One of the Rarest most Significant Wines in American Wine History, rarely seen outside of the Museum. Own a Museum Quality Collectible Bottle of Wine History.
This is one of the last of a handful and I mean a handful, of surviving Bottles of the Fabled 1973 Vintage Chateau Montelena Chardonnay, the one that won the Paris Tasting of 1976, the subject of the Movie, Bottle Shock, the one that changed California and US Wine Forever.
No one knows exactly how many of these survived but it is thought that fewer than 12 known Bottles of this wine remain in existence today. Yes there are other bottles of wine out there, rare and expensive bottles, but none this rare and none of them have garnered as much acclaim and changed American Wine History more than this Bottle, this Vintage.
On the 50th Anniversary of the Paris Tasting, in 2026, you can now own one of these Treasured Bottles of Museum Quality American Wine History!
This Wine is a blend of 100% Chardonnay grapes, from Sonoma and Napa Counties, primarily sourced from independent growers in the Russian River Valley, 39% from Belle Terre Vineyard and Oak Knoll, 35% from Bacigalupi Vineyard. It was aged in French oak for 22 months and released with an alcohol content of 13.2% ABV.
The Winery is currently selling one Bottle and Vineyard Visit for $200,000.00 via TheVault on Robb Report. Our offer is just the Bottle for 50% Off the Winery Direct Offer.
This Bottle was Stored in a Wine Cellar with perfect Wine Storage Conditions all of it's life. An Amazing Example of this Bottle! Ready to Display or Drink.
